One of very few Chris Craft sailboats ever made.
This from the drawing board of legendary Sparkman & Stephens, and was designed in 1969 as one of the first motorsailors to be produced in glass.
Tai Ping has reputable build quality and pedigree as an offshore cruiser and can make a wonderful modern classic. However she is need need of a new owner and one willing to spend some effort in upgrading a few systems and attending to the cosmetics.
She is currently afloat and little used this summer, but will be hauled shortly for the winter.

The forward cabin consists of a V berth, with ample storage beneath the bunks in the form of lockers, cupboards with sliding doors on either side and small drawers at the head of the bunks. At the most forward part of the cabin is access to the anchor locker.
Moving aft there is a head to S'Brd, with access both from the forward cabin and saloon. This consists of a shower tray, marine head and stainless steel wash hand basin.
The galley is to port, and has a propane 2 burner Mariner Prince stove with oven, double drain stainless steel sink and a Sea Frost refrigerator with engine driven compressor. There are large cupboards beneath the sink, small drawers for cutlery and a large hanging locker forward. Two large glass portlights look out over the port side deck with a hand grab rail above.
To S'brd, is the settee, with a saloon table which also doubles up as a navigational space.There is a sliding door cabinet like space outboard of the table.
The cabin sole is varnished teak and holly, which also matches the varnished trim to all the drawers and cupboards around the boat. The doors to all cabins are solid teak and varnished. Most of the interior is finished off in Formica, with a wood like appearance.
The aft end of the saloon contains the teak companion way steps, leading up to the cockpit, beneath which is to be found the access hatch/ floor board to the engine.
To port is the door way leading to the aft cabin, which consists of two single berths on either side of the mizzen mast. There is some storage benathe the bunks as well as small cupboards forward. There is also a separate enclosed marine head, with wash hand basin.Mechanical & Electrical
The original Perkins 4107 engine was replaced with a more modern 4108 and this was rebuilt by DePaul Diesel in 2000.
The transmission was also rebuilt in 2016.
The engine carries an 120 Amp alternator for charging, while the vessel has a SeaRanger 2 bank 10 Amp charger.
The boat is installed with 4 deep cycle batteries in two banks, and is wired for 12V dc and 110V ac when hooked up to shore supply.

The hull was barrier coated in 1995, with Interlux Anti Blister protection.
The center cockpit, has a wheel helm with binnacle mounted compass and engine controls. There is teak grating on the cockpit sole and seating cushions.
The boat comes with a mainsail, mizzen and 150% roller reefing genoa.
The mainsail has 2 reefing points, while the genoa was recut in 1995 to have a foam luff added.
Head sail furling gear is a Harken I1851
Primary sail handling winches are Barlow 24, 2 speed, while the secondary's are Barlow 16's
There are sail covers included for all sparred sails, as well as main hatch canvas dodger made in 2010, all in matching green sunbrella.
On the bow is installed a 2 speed Simpson Lawrence manual anchor windlass.
The main anchor is a 45lb, CQR plough, with 100' of chain and 100' nylon rode.
Bower anchor, consists of a 35lb Northill, Fisherman type, with 10' of chain and 250' of nylon rode.
Fresh water tank is split into two tanks holding approximately 60 Gal.
Diesel tanks, two tanks, approximately 70 Gal.
Holding tanks consist of 2 hard plastic tanks with both manual and deck pumpouts.
There is pressurized cold and hot water, with water being heated by 110V ac and engine coolant circulation.Navigational Instruments.
