SCARLETT offers the popular Ted Hood keel/centerboard design, providing shoal draft sailing and uncommon upwind sailing abilities in a boat that is both practical and comfortable. She is offshore capable and that is rarely found in most boats of this size. She draws 4'6" with the centerboard up and 8'6" with the board down. She has a nice cut-away forefoot with a skeg rudder.

SCARLET has been well maintained and continually upgraded. Her awlgripped Flag Blue hull and double red boot stripe, make her stand out and compliments her classic good looks.

SCARLET has wonderful accommodations inside and out. The aft cockpit is large and has good locker storage capacity. Her fiberglass decks have molded in non-skid, the side and fore decks are wide, making it safe to move about. The cockpit is protected by a white canvas dodger and bimini with connector in between, and detachable enclosure for bad weather.

The head was updated to a Vacu-Flush sanitation system in 2008. It also has a shower, vanity with sink with hot and cold pressure water, mirror, ample storage, and good ventilation. There is a large hanging locker to starboard opposite the head.

Her salon is a very comfortable and accommodating space. The interior is varnished teak. The locker doors are the up-graded louvered door that provide constant ventilation and good looks. The sole is varnished teak and holly. Both port and starboard settees can convert to a double berth. There is lots of storage under, behind, and above the settees. Opposite the galley is the Navigation station with large chart table followed by her quarter berth, making a total of 4 berths to accommodate up to 7 people.
