Overview

The SIRENA is a beautiful example of the popular Smeraldo 9-Meter Series as produced by the very well-regarded Apreamare Yard in Italy. She was built in 1996 and is powered by twin DETROIT DIESEL Turbo in-line (6) cylinder marine diesels by VM Motori of Italy that are rated at 220 HP. Offering outstanding performance & fuel economy, exceptional craftsmanship inside & out and a sophisticated hull shape that also provides good sea-keeping abilities, the APREAMARE 9M's have proven to be sought after for many years as distinct quality values and particularly in the United States & Europe.

The SIRENA was acquired by her previous Owners in 2014 and was just donated to a charitable institution. She's always been a "locally owned & operated" yacht. Typical of the better quality boats that attract knowledgeable and appreciative Owners, the SIRENA has always gotten good care and in an upscale Yard where she's located for all Seasons. A few recent improvements include a new NORCOLD refrig unit, a BLUE SEAS battery charger and new batteries.

The SIRENA is offered for brokerage sale as her present Owners, now a specialized charitable institution, have decided to price the yacht well below current market valuations for a quick sale this Spring. She's stored indoors and is easy to inspect. Appointments for viewings are to be encouraged as the new Owners have expressed the desire to sell "now: At her present pricing and with advantages in keeping with with a (36) month Charter/Lease Program, the SIRENA is quite the purchase opportunity!

Hull, Deck and Cockpit

Hull

The APREAMARE 9-Meter Series yachts are all well-known for their sea-keeping abilities and the efficiency of the hull overall under power. Her exceptional stability is derived from the design applications and build techniques use to produce the traditional & practical "gozzi sorrentino" fishing boats of the region that really need stability and roll-dampening functions in a beam sea. The full beam sections are carried well forward & aft. Besides creating a good amount of usable space below and in the Cockpit, there's plenty of reserve buoyancy to dampen pitching & roll actions.

Propulsion

The APREAMARE 9M is powered by (2) DETROIT DIESEL's (DDC) built by VM Motori of Italy (note: owned by DDC since 1995) that are (6) cylinder in-line turbo-diesels that are rated at 220 HP each. The V-Drives are by HURTH. The V-drives maintain a good lower thrust line and keeps the fore & aft trim changes to a minimum for all speeds whether at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) to hull speed or less.

At a 22-23 knot cruise at 2750 RPM, these DDC engines will burn about (20) US Gallons per hour. At a 10 knot cruise at 1800 RPM, the fuel burn is about (6) US Gallons per hour.

At approximately (10) knots, the APREAMARE 9M has a range of about 325nm.

In 2003, the shafts, struts & props were all replaced.
