Dave Pugsley - General Manager

I joined Brewer Yacht Sales in 2003 as Vice President and General Manager, working out of Brewer’s largest Marina, Pilot’s Point, in the popular summer-haven of Westbrook, Connecticut. I spent the previous five years as one of the directors of Bitter End Yacht Club resort in Virgin Gorda, BVI and General Manager of North Sound Express Ferry Company based in Beef Island Tortola, BVI.  My thirty-year career in the marine industry has covered all facets of the business, from cutting sails for Hard Sails in the late 1970’s to working in management positions with popular boat companies such as Boston Whaler, Ericson Yachts, Innovator Boats, Radon Craft and Olson sailboats built by Ericson Yachts.  These opportunities gave me the unique experience of understanding the manufacturing as well and the retail side of the industry. From California, to Florida, to the Caribbean and New England, my broad network of marine- business contacts and affiliations in the industry provide me strong knowledge base in the marine field.

Our affiliation with Brewer Yacht Yard Groups’ 22 marinas in New England puts us in the best position to help our clients because we can continue to assist with the responsibilities and rewards of owning a boat.
I am proud to call myself a Certified Professional Yacht Broker, CPYB, as well as the immediate past president of YBAA, Yacht Brokers Association of America.  I am also a member ABYA, Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents in the United Kingdom and past member and crew-chief in North Sound for VISAR, Virgin Island Search and Rescue in Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda, BVI.
