Brewer Yacht Sales, Westbrook CT. Dave Pugsley, General Manager announced at their annual meeting this past week the Brewer Yacht Sales Broker of the Year: Hal Slater. Hal has spent 27 successful years in various sales & marketing positions within the Hardware Industry, 17 yrs. with Stanley Tools & 10 yrs. with Milwaukee Electric Tool. Hal Transitioned into Brewer Yacht Sales part time during the fall of 2005 in pursuit of building a new career from a passion, the “Boating Lifestyle”. He has a wonderful supporting wife, Melissa, and three great kids who also enjoy having a boat and a place to spend summers on the water. Hal accepted the offer to manage the Brewer Yacht Sales office in Branford July of 2006, “easy decision for me realizing how rewarding this profession is in helping others with boat ownership and management and the enjoyment and quality the lifestyle brings.” stated Hal Slater In 2006; Hal received “Rookie of the Year” and “Team Spirit” awards. Hal is a current member of “Yacht Brokers Association of America”. He recently spoke at the National Association of Marine Surveyors Fall 2007 Seminar and presented “Vessel Surveys from the Brokers perspective”. Hal accepted offer to become the Product Manager of our EdgeWater product line in January 2008. He received the Brewer “EdgeWater Boats Top Sales Award” for 2007 as well as “Most Brokerage Boats Sold” award, 44 boats sold during 2007.
