A native of Chester, Connecticut much of my youth was spent boating on Connecticut River and Long Island Sound. Settling in Old Lyme along the Connecticut River in 1984, I took a position as Administrative Assistant to Peter Conrad at
Sobstad Sail Makers in 1984.
After leaving Sobstad I became a Customer Service/ Sales Representative for Cooper Instruments, I coordinated and attended National Trade Shows as well as assured timely and accurate delivery of order placements for my market segment which included accounts such as Sysco and the United States Army. Cooper’s philosophy of delivering excellent customer service, product and technical knowledge further enhanced my existing skills in addition to acquiring an excellent knowledge of PCs. Hearing from a former co-worker at Sobstad, I was notified of the availability of a position at Brewer Pilots Point Marina. Brewer Yacht Yards are renowned for their philosophy of experience, integrity, and commitment – I jumped at the opportunity.
Working for one year as a receptionist at Brewer Pilot’s Point, I transferred to Office Manager at Brewer Yacht Sales. Brewer Yacht Sales, Inc. is a culmination of all prior experiences while developing new skills in finance, the internet, contracts, marketing and advertising. My education in Accounting and Business Administration continues with evening classes.
