Overview

The Sea Ray 225 Weekender is powered by a 5.0 L MPI Alpha I MCM stern drive. The burl instrument panel provides easy access and visibility of all control station functions including power tilt and trim. The 225 Weekender offers a standard tilt wheel with power steering, along with an exclusive waterproof switch pad. A lockable cabin door with integral steps leads to the foredeck. Removable aft jump seats that double as a sunlounger can be stored in the port and starboard side panels. The removable motorbox provides superior access to the engine. The walk-through transom door opens to the integral swim platform. After dinner, the dining table can be stowed and the filler cushions convert the V-berth to a comfortable bed that sleeps two. A convenient head with a portable toilet and privacy curtain is starboard. The galley with sink and faucet has upper and lower storage, as well as a trash receptacle.

Main Description

This is a nice, lightly used vessel. She has a convertible dinette that sleeps two and enclosed head for weekending and comfortable accommodations on deck for day cruising. She is a nice size for ease of maintenance and can be trailered (no trailer comes with her). She has been aggressively priced.

Accommodations

For a 22' foot vessel she offers a lot. Her cuddy cabin sleeps 2 and has a U-shaped dinette that converts to a double berth with filler. There is a dining table that can store under the berth when not in use. She has a small galley to port with sink, storage below and recessed trash container. To starboard you will find her private, enclosed head with Porta-Pottie (not ever used by the present owner).

Going aft and up a couple of steps you enter the bridge deck/cockpit area. The helm is to starboard and features a helm seat with flip-up bolster and storage below. To port is the mates seat also with flip-up bolster an storage below. The companionway door when closed has molded in steps to gain access to the walk-through windshield. All the way aft is a padded engine box cushion and removable side jump seats. She has removable cockpit carpet (stored), transom door, side storage compartments, large infloor storage or keep your fish on ice for the ride home.

Her engine box is hinged and gives excellent access to the engine compartment. She also has an oversized swim platform with built-in swim ladder.

Mechanical
  • Single Mercruiser 260HP inboard/outboard engine with only 206 hours.
  • Stereo with cockpit and cabin speakers
  • Automatic bilge pump
  • Full engine instrumentation
  • Navigation lights

Deck Equipment
  • Anchor with rode in hatch in bow
  • Stainless steel bow rail
  • Canvas bimini with forward and side panels and aft tonneau cover that closes the whole boat in
  • Canvas windshield and helm cover
  • Stainless steel rack for bimini
  • Large opening hatch for nice ventilation below
  • Transom door
  • Dock lines
  • Fenders

Conclusion

This is a great boat for getting started. She is not overly complicated, has accommodations for weekending without being too large, super cockpit space for spending the day out on the water with friends or family. She has been lightly used and is ready for the season. The owner no longer has the time and is eager to find her a home. Don't pass this little gem by!
