Farr 40' 40 One Design

This is one of the renown owner/skipper class Farr 40 One Design, built by Carroll Marine, in Bristol, RI in 2001.

She was left with unpaid storage at the ship yard, who eventually gained ownership through the courts and have now placed her up for sale.

She is laid up in her shipping cradle, with keel and mast removed. 

Her hull seems intact and very dry, the main cosmetic issues are the failure of the polyester gelcoat in some high stress areas, were it has detached from the epoxy structure.

This boat will make an absolutely great day or weekend sailor, keeping most of the systems simple and manageable.

Since she is originally designed with non overlapping headsails, this would be an easier boat to handle with smaller headsail canvas and should make short handed sailing feasible.

Her interior is spartan and very easy to clean with a simple hosing down.
