Designed by Groupe Finot, the Beneteau 423 is well known for its excellent balance of sailing performance, onboard comfort and ease of handling. This particular vessel stands out thanks to more than US$40,000 in upgrades and improvements completed since 2020.
In 2020, both the genoa and mainsail were replaced with premium grey composite sails, representing an investment of approximately US$23,000.
In 2021, the dodger, connector and interior cushions were redone using marine-grade materials, representing approximately US$6,500 in upgrades. The bimini was already recent and therefore did not require replacement.
In 2023, the house battery bank was converted to lithium, providing approximately 400 Ah of effective capacity. Significant modifications were made to the charging system to accommodate the lithium installation, along with the addition of Victron battery monitoring equipment, representing an investment of approximately US$5,000.
In 2024, a full cockpit enclosure was added and the radio and speakers were replaced, representing approximately US$4,500 in additional upgrades.
In 2025, new solar panels and a new MPPT controller were installed. The charging system components are Victron and feature Bluetooth connectivity. According to the owner, the combination of solar power and the lithium house bank has made the boat fully autonomous without requiring shore power during normal use.
The vessel is also equipped with two 12,000 BTU Cruisair air-conditioning units as well as a 3,000-watt Xantrex inverter. The boat is not equipped with a generator.
A Max-Prop feathering propeller further improves sailing performance by reducing drag while under sail.
In the spring of 2026, prior to launching, the hull protection below the waterline was completely renewed with the application of InterProtect and new antifouling bottom paint, providing fresh protection for the upcoming season.
According to the current owner, the vessel is believed to have never been operated in saltwater.
The 2020 marine survey confirms the vessel as a 2007 Beneteau 423, powered by a Volvo Penta diesel engine and configured for recreational cruising.
